The Movie and a Beer is based in Portland Oregon and started in July 2019.
The purpose of this podcast is to provide you, the public with information about pairing movies, shows, and beers.
Within the last decade, many local theaters have added a variety of beers and alcoholic drinks available for purchase and consumption while you watch your movie. There is also the ever-increasing use of streaming or on-demand services to watch recent and older films at your location.
This provides you with an enhanced viewing experience but creates the challenge of 'what beer goes with this film?'.
Ultimately we want to share with you our experience with choosing a beer(s) to go with various films we have watched recently without plot spoilers (if possible) and our thoughts on the film(s). We invite you to listen in on our brief discussion of these movies or shows and explore the variety of ales and lagers to pair with your movie.
In the process of selecting the beers, we hope to include locally available examples as well as commercially available and widely distributed beers as not everyone is here in Portland Oregon, aka Beervana.
